Shirley Fowler Caldwell, 75, of Burlington, NC, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, surrounded by family and friends. Born March 11, 1941, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Louise Christian Hunt and widow of William "Bill" Caldwell. Mrs. Caldwell was a member of Una First Freewill Baptist Church and retired from Phillips Fibers. Survivors include her daughter, April Michelle Cerros (Miguel) of Burlington, NC; sons, Billy Caldwell and Danny Sellars, both of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and two great-great-granddaughters. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sons; one brother; and one grandson. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Cash. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
