Shirley Cain

Shirley Sane Cain, 80, of Spartanburg, SC passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Habersham Home Nursing Facility. Born May 8, 1935, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lee Mack Sane, Sr. and Minnie Ernestine Bruce Sane and was the widow of James P. Cain, Sr. Mrs. Cain was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and retired from the Thompson and French Law Firm. She was also an avid bridge and pinochle player. Survivors include daughters, Pamela C. Hamilton (Jim) of Clarkesville, GA; Katherine Cain of Tewksbury, MA; son, James P. Cain, Jr. (Rachel) of Sandy Run, SC; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy D. Sane of Warner Robbins, GA; and a sister-in-law, Mary Cain of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Anna Sane Butler; and brother, Lee Mack Sane, Jr. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, July 3, 2015, at Trinity United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Neal Y. Wood. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 626 Norwood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or to a charity of one's choice.
