Shirley Barbee

Shirley Marie Barnett Barbee, 60, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born July 2, 1956, in Daytona Beach, FL, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Lee and Lucille Johnson Barnett and widow of Robert Allen Barbee. Mrs. Barbee was a member of Temple Independent Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School. Survivors include her two daughters, Dana Barbee Siegfried and her husband Kip and Stefanie Marie Barbee Corbin and her husband Wesley; two granddaughters, Savannah Siegfried and Gabriele Siegfried; grandsons, Hunter Scott Corbin and Hayden Robert Corbin all of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Jesse Barnett, Jr. of Buckhannon, WV, and Gigi her beloved Chihuahua. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Barbara. Visitation will be held 12:45-1:45 PM Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Temple Independent Methodist Church, with services following at 2:00 PM at the church, conducted by Pastor Rex Keaton. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Temple Independent Methodist Church Children's Program Fund, 171 Watkins Court, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
