Shelli Dowis

Shelli Denise Dowis, 58, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.  Born June 30, 1964 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Patsy Ruth Phillips and John Wesley Dowis Jr.

Shelli was a Medical Records Technician with Spartanburg Medical Center-Mary Black Campus for 19 years and previously at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL.  She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.  Having no children of her own, Shelli poured her life into helping and caring for others.

Survivors include a brother, John Brent Dowis (Cindy) of Cowpens; nieces and nephews, John Christian Dowis (Samantha), Haley Dowis, Carey Dowis, and Mackenzie Dowis; great nieces and nephews, Lincoln, Ellie, Kali, and Jasper; one uncle, and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be Monday, February 13, 2023, 10:30am-11:45am, at Crossroads Baptist Church, 130 Conway Black Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.  Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 noon in the church sanctuary conducted by The Rev. Brent Dowis and The Rev. Rich Lancaster.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
