Shelby Lynn Booth went Home to the Lord on Saturday, May 7, 2022, taken away unexpectedly from her adoring family and friends. Shelby was born to Ron Gosnell of Inman, SC and Deborah McBrayer Jones (Terry Crocker) of Spartanburg, SC.
Shelby was a graduate of Dorman High School in Spartanburg, SC, where she was in the Horizon Program, STEMS, Junior Scholar, and National Merit Semifinalist. Shelby was attending SCC to achieve her lifelong desire to own her own business.
In May of 2018, Shelby married her loving husband, Roy James Booth, II of Fingerville, SC. Together they were raising their dogs, Athena (American Bully), Juno (White German Shepherd) and their cat, Stella. Shelby and Jamie enjoyed working in the transportation industry as a planning specialist where she was able to see the country – Shelby enjoyed her travels with her mother-in-law, Deborah Booth.
Shelby loved her family and enjoyed growing up in her hometown of Spartanburg with her brother, “Wesley’” Steven Jones being a role model. Shelby was especially close to her sister, Casey Crump, and loved to stay with her Papa John and Mamaw Mary McBrayer (predeceased). Aunt Rebecca and Uncle Scottie Andrews (predeceased) and their children, Jeff and Amber of Spartanburg. Aunt Angie and Uncle Steve Hood and their children, Barrett (Johanna) and Stephanie of Richmond Hill, Georgia. Uncle Johnny and Aunt Beth McBrayer of Charleston, SC, and their children, AJ (predeceased), James, Amanda, and Alex.
She was dearly loved by her (predeceased father) Steven Jones, (predeceased grandmother) Gigi, Great Uncle (predeceased) Leon and Aunt Wanda Lockaby, (predeceased) Uncle Paul Jones, Aunt Pam, and Uncle Roy Puckett and son, Richard (Tiffany) Puckett and their children, Chelsea and Chase Puckett, daughter, Tammy (Bobby) Puckett Wade, their children Shelbie, Kenslie, and Dakota. Uncle Randall (predeceased) and Aunt Terry Jones, and Aunt Karen Fullbright and daughter, Paula Ivey of Union, SC.
She missed seeing her Papa Fred (predeceased) and enjoyed spending time with her grandmother, Doris Gosnell, telling her stories, Aunt Autumn Cleveland and her daughters Laura Coffey and Rachel Figueroa, Aunt Gail Owens and her daughter Amanda Lynch, Aunt Sonya Prass and her children Clay and Meghan, and Uncle Lyn and his son Austin Trotter. She enjoyed riding go-carts with her brother, Dylan (Joanna) Gosnell and adored her nephew, Cayden Gosnell of Inman, SC.
Visitation will be 4:00-4:45 PM on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A memorial service will follow in the Chapel at 5:00 PM.
