Sarah Turner

Sarah Bessie Greer Turner, 89, of 655 Greenhill Road, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at her home. Born March 21, 1921, in the Buck Creek community, she was the daughter of the late W. Arthur and Lillie Camp Greer and the wife of 67 years to the late Albert D. Turner. She was a member of Restoration Church International in Gaffney and a Sunday School teacher for 50 years at Whitney Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Rev. Larry J. Turner of Spartanburg; a sister, Virginia G. Price of Greenwood; a brother, Samuel A. Greer of Spartanburg; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret B. Stevens. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by Pastor Joey Turner and the Rev. Larry J. Turner. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
