Sarah Louise Fowler Pace, 86, of Cowpens, went home to be with the Lord peacefully with her family by her side, Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born October 9, 1924 in Caroleen, NC, she was the daughter of the late Shealey and Flossie Godfrey Fowler and the dedicated and loving wife of the late Rev. William Rhyne "Bud" Pace, Sr. She, along with her late husband, the Rev. William Pace, founded We Love You Ministries, now known as New Hope Outreach, where she worked faithfully in the ministry for over sixty years. She was loved and respected by an entire community who knew her as "Aunt Lou". She loved gardening, antiques and yard sales. She was a retired textile worker. Survivors include a daughter, Vickie Pace Powell and her husband Scotty, Sr. of Cowpens; two grandsons, Scott Powell, Jr. and his fiancé Kay, and the Rev. Brent Powell and his wife Karen; a granddaughter, Shandel Powell Brown and her husband Derek; five great-grandchildren, Bristan, Jacob, and Tyler Powell and Nicholas and Katlyn Brown; a brother, Donald Fowler and his wife Cindy of Rock Hill; a sister, Eva Dell Fowler Pierce of Spartanburg; and many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald William Pace and William Rhyne Pace Jr. and five loving sisters. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at New Hope Outreach. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 20 at New Hope Outreach, conducted by the Rev. Brent Powell and the Rev. Jackie Potter.
