Sarah Nunamaker

Sarah Rebecca Epting Nunamaker, 98, of Inman, SC, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Born July 6, 1918, in Chapin, SC, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family, the daughter of the late H. Lake and Mattie Wiggers Epting and widow of Cecil Young Nunamaker. Mrs. Nunamaker was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Circle 1, and the On The Go Group. She also served regularly as a volunteer at the church. Survivors include her children, Dianne Nunamaker Brown of Marietta, GA, Celia Nunamaker Bauss (Brad) and Janet Nunamaker, all of Inman, SC, and Jerry Nunamaker (Ann) of Greenwood, SC. She was the proud grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 9. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Judith Nunamaker Whitehill. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 22, 2017, at St. John's Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Michael Shackelford. A committal service will follow at 2:00 PM in St. Andrew's Lutheran Church Cemetery, 407 St. Andrews Rd., Columbia, SC 29210. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 415 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
