Sarah Bodford

Sarah Elizabeth Painter Bodford, of Pacolet, died Friday, December 14, 2012, at her home. Born September 2, 1928, in Gaffney, SC, she was the widow of Burnie Jay Bodford and daughter of the late Clyde Benjamin and Mamie E. Blackwell Painter. She was a member of Goucher Baptist Church, Gaffney, SC. Surviving are her daughters, Linda B. McKinney and Sandra Kay Smith; sons, Randall Lee Bodford and Richard Dean Bodford; and sisters, Barbara Owens and Polly Pierce. She was preceded in death by her first-born child, Norman Jay Bodford. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, December 17, 2012, in Goucher Baptist Church Cemetery, by the Rev. Norman Gardner.
