Sara Young

Sara Hodge Young, 67, of Spartanburg, SC died Saturday, January 30, 2021 at her home. Born December 6, 1953 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of Hames and Pearl Ingle Hodge. Sara earned a Bachelor's degree from Converse College. She was a retired medical professional. She was a member of First Baptist Spartanburg and The Una Fire Department Support Team. Survivors include her sons, Christopher Young (Tiffany) of Spartanburg, SC and Joshua Young of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Tyler Young, Bryson Young, Trinity Young and Daisy Young; and her fiancé, Tommie Dorsey. A graveside service will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Donald J. Wilton and The Rev. Sal Barone. Visitation will be at the graveside, one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Una Fire Department, P.O. Box 457, Una, SC 29378.
