Sara Webb

Sara Amanda Galloway Webb, 87, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015, at RoseCrest-Inman. Born September 29, 1928, in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Bessie McKinney Galloway and widow of Arthur William Webb. Mrs. Webb loved to crochet, paint, and travel. She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church, Liberty United Methodist Women, and the Prayer Shawl Ministry. She was formerly employed at Bi-Lo as a floral designer after retiring from Drayton Mills and Hoechst Celanese and volunteered with Whitney Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda "Amy" Cooper and husband Lamar of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren, Melissa Rogers, Brian Cooper, Jason Webb, and Aaron Webb; four great-grandchildren, Shelby Rogers, Tabitha Howell, Ciera Cooper, and Ashlyn Cooper; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Richard Eugene "Gene" Webb; sisters, Minnie Lee Watts and Barbara Miller; and brothers, James "Cotton" Galloway and Ben Galloway. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Andrew Wolfe and the Rev. Dr. Tom Norrell. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
