Sara Scott

Sara Calloway Scott, 76, of Spartanburg, SC, died peacefully Friday, November 15, 2013, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born May 13, 1937, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Ariel Varner Calloway. Mrs. Scott retired from Westminster Presbyterian Church having served as the secretary to every minister who pastored at the church. She was a member of Cannons United Methodist Church. Survivors include her beloved husband of 56 years, James Cannon Scott; a son, James W. Scott (Michelle) of Sarasota, FL; sisters, Sue Kemp (Keith) of Spartanburg, SC, and Karen McCarter of Boiling Springs, SC; brothers, Jerry Calloway (Gloria) of Greenville, SC, Glenn Calloway (Donna) of Pace, FL, and Richard Calloway (Linda) of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter, Storm Jean Scott of Sarasota, FL; and a sack full of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 AM Friday, November 29, 2013, at Cannons Campground United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Mac Kinnett. No flowers please.
