Sara Mcbride

Sara Weathers McBride, 85, of Spartanburg, died Friday, September 24, 2010 at White Oak Manor of Spartanburg. Born June 7, 1925 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Landrum Dexter Weathers, Sr. and Annie Ott Weathers and wife of the late Edward Andrew McBride. She was retired from Sears Roebuck & Company and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, David L. McBride and wife Atha of Spartanburg and Clifford D. McBride and wife Carol of Inman; three grandchildren, Michelle Deaton of Clearwater, FL, Andrew McBride and Austin McBride both of Spartanburg; a sister, Anne Sanders of Augusta, GA; and a brother, Joe Weathers of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by two brothers, Landrum Dexter Weathers, Jr. and James Fulton Weathers; and a sister, Willadene Prince. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 28, 2010, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. David B. Smith. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
