Sara Loflin

Sara Eleanor Newman Loflin, also known as Sally to family and friends, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021.  Born in Columbia, SC, a daughter of the late Reuben Ernest and Genevieve Alicia Wilson Newman.

Sally was retired from Borden Snack Foods as a Quality Control Inspector.

Survivors are a daughter, Margaret Carpenter (Bruce) of Gaffney, SC, a son, Bryan Loflin of Boiling Springs, SC, a stepson, Wayne Loflin (Pauline) of Summerville, SC and a daughter-in-law, Rhonda McCartney of Norfolk, VA.

Five grandchildren, Sara Ensley (Joshua), Tara Loflin, Michael Loflin,  Patrick Loflin (Joseph) and Paul Loflin (Holly).  Three great-grandchildren, Seth, Lily and Keeleigh along with numerous nieces and nephews.  Sally was predeceased by her husband, William Maurice Loflin; brothers, William Newman, Reuben “Buzzy” Newman, Marion “Ducky” Newman, Mason Newman, and Jesse Newman; sisters, Nell Crow and Ruby Fowler.

Private burial services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice House, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC, 29303.
