Sandy Edward Floyd, 69, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, September 30, 2016 in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born April 11, 1947 in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Samuel Guy and Pauline Lavender Floyd. Sandy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a truck driver for 32 years. He was an avid gardener and was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Gaffney. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, he loved his family unconditionally. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Donna Mullinax Floyd; sons, Adam Floyd (Erica) of Clemson, SC; Zachary Floyd (Caitlin) of Clemson, SC; granddaughter, Maddie Floyd; brothers, Larry Floyd and Sammy Floyd; seven nephews and 5 nieces. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, T.M. Floyd and sister, Rachel Davis. Visitation will be 4:00 - 6:00 PM Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 3, 2016, in the Chapel, conducted by the Dr. Wofford Caughman and the Rev. Christopher Greene. Burial will follow in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery Street, Cowpens, SC 29330. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church Gaffney, Building Church Fund, 204 W. Oneal St., Gaffney, SC 29340.
