Samuel Wofford Iii

Samuel H. Wofford III, 58, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Monday, February 24, 2014. Born July 20, 1955, in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Samuel H. Wofford Jr. and Lucile Miller Wofford. A 1979 graduate of Clemson University, Mr. Wofford received his degree in Ceramic Engineering and was employed during the 1980's by Norton Industries of Worcester, MA, before becoming disabled. He attended First Baptist Church of Spartanburg and loved all Clemson sports and talking politics. Survivors include his brother, Kenneth Miller Wofford (Tracy), nephew, Kenneth Miller Wofford Jr., and niece, Katie Leigh Wofford, all of Greenville, SC; aunt and uncle, Marion and James Seay of Moore, SC; and many cousins. A memorial service, followed by a gathering of family and friends, is being arranged by the family and will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N.
