Samuel Rush

Samuel Franklin Rush, 80, of 275 South Church Street, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born February 2, 1930, in Lando, SC, he was the son of the late Joseph F. and Fannie Belle Langley Rush. He was retired from Carolina Cash as a sales associate in the Men's Department after 51 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a brother, Joseph G. Rush of Lexington; and nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Joe Dempsey. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
