Samuel Arnone

Samuel Frank Arnone, 59, of 129 Gossamer Drive, died Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born April 14, 1951 in Canonsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Phillip and Phyllis Ardizzone Arnone. He was music and band director at Hughsville High School, a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, a member and Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, founder and president of Sons of Italy of Upstate South Carolina, a member and on the boards of Upstate and R&B Shag Club. Survivors include his wife Celeste Lairmore Arnone; three sons, Tony Arnone of Gloucester, VA, Samuel Nick Arnone of Gaithersburg, MD, and Richard Brandt of Nashville, TN; three daughters, Libby Brandt of Boiling Springs, SC, Kimberly McLaughlin of Simpsonville, SC, and Bethanne Henley of Baxter, TN; and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Jayne Garman Arnone; and a brother, Joe Arnone. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, with a Christian Wake service at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, conducted by the Rev. Timothy M. Gahan. Burial will be at a later date in Pennsylvania. Following the service, the family will be at Sterling Estates Club House.
