Sally Ann Simpson Stewart, 71, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born August 12, 1939, in Walton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ellworth Charles and Grace Rosenfeld Simpson. Mrs. Stewart was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, where she was a member of H.F. Christberg Sunday School Class, Circle Six and the Senior Adult Counsel. She was also the secretary of Woodland Heights Neighborhood Association for many years. Sally will be remembered for her artistic abilities with crafts, cooking, and sewing. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Fred Floyd Stewart; two daughters, Stacy Ann Millwood (Eddie) and Kristen Marie Whitfield (Lance), all of Jonesville, SC; two sons, Eric Joseph Stewart of Woodruff, SC and Joel Rosenfeld Stewart (Neely) of Monarch, SC; 10 grandchildren, Whitney, Lauren, Kyle, Jenna, Shane, Jake, Allyssa, Jordan, Joel, and Kallyn; a brother, Joseph Simpson (Sandy) of Brant Lake, NY; a sister, Sonya Missita (George) of Spartanburg; a number of nephews; and special friends, Debbie Monsour and Karen DeMarsh. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 8, 2011, at Bethel United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. David E. Nichols and the Rev. David B. Smith. Visitation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church, 245 S. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306; or a charity of one's choice.
