Ruthadele Biegger

Ruthadele Lowhon Biegger, 88, of Inman, died Sunday, January 15, 2012, at Magnolia Manor-Inman. Born June 4, 1923, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Joel Emory and Jenny Louise Hallman Lowhon, and wife of the late Francis Joseph Biegger. She was the last surviving member of her family. Mrs. Biegger was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church where her grandfather was the founding minister, the Rev. Dr. S. T. Hallman. Ruthadele was a founding member of Women of the ELCA, Circle One. She was formerly active in the Little Theater productions, Tuesday Reading & Garden Club, a retired U. S. Marine veteran, and former member of Beta Sigma Phi. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2012, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Michael Shackelford and the Rev. Emily Edenfield. Women of ELCA Circle One will be honorary escort. On behalf of Ruthie, a deep appreciation is given to the pastors, parish nurses, and Health Ministry Caregivers who visited regularly and sustained her mind, body, and spirit.
