Ruth Weeks

Miriam Ruth Stacey Weeks, 84, died Friday, June 7, 2013, at her home. Born August 14, 1928, to Harvey William and Mary Jane Barnett Stacey, she was the widow of Paul E. Weeks, to whom she was married for over 65 years. She was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for 47 years. Ruth was a woman of gentle heart and gentle spirit and now rests in peace in the glory of her Lord. Ruth is survived by children Elizabeth Sisk (Donald) of Spartanburg; Paul D. Weeks (Sharon) of Greensburg, PA; Robert W. Weeks of Pelzer, SC; and Cynthia West of Wellford, SC; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Waddell, Martha Blanton (Willie), and Marie Hensley (Gene) and their families; brother, Eddie Stacey (Rachel) and his family; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Justin Weeks, and five brothers. Visitation will be 10:00-11:45 AM Monday, June 10, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon at the Chapel, conducted by Pastor Scott Linnerud. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
