Ruth Weathers

Ruth Wyatt Weathers, 87, of Pacolet, SC, died Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born April 11, 1927, in Gaffney, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Annie Burgess Wyatt. A graduate of Gaffney High School, Mrs. Weathers was an avid gardener, a member of Southside Baptist Church of Gaffney, and retired from Timken Bearing. Survivors include her daughter, Vicki Bryant Gosnell (Harry) of Pacolet, SC; stepsons, Landrum Dexter Weathers III of Moore, SC, and Charles Weathers of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughters, Lori Gosnell Lominack (Jamie) and Kelli Gosnell Hardigree (Matt), all of Spartanburg, SC; great-grandchildren, Carson Hardigree, Ella Hardigree, Christian Hardigree, Mary Caroline Lominack, Davis Williams Lominack, and Anne Harrison Lominack; and many very special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband, Claude James Bryant, and her second husband, Landrum Dexter "L.D." Weathers, Jr.; and eight brothers, Ernest, Clarence, Lewis, Thomas, Winford, Jake, Archie, and Arthur Wyatt. Visitation will be 12:45-1:45 pm Sunday, September 14, 2014, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Norman L. Band. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
