Ruth Seay

Ruth D. Vandiver Seay, 85, of Boiling Springs, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 16, 2015, at her home. Born May 1, 1929, in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Shafter and Estelle Jones Vandiver. Mrs. Seay will always be remembered as a precious wife, loving mother, sister, and friend. She was a devoted Christian and member of The First Baptist Church of Valley Falls, a 1947 graduate of Roebuck High School, and retired from Spartan Undies after 38 years of service. Surviving is her loving husband of 66 years, Clarence Seay; son, Wayne Seay and his wife Carol of Boiling Springs, SC; daughter, Judi Thompson and her husband Allen of Lexington, SC; two grandchildren, Trent Thompson and his wife Kirsten of Lexington, SC, and Amy Thompson Weaver and her husband Chris of Chapin, SC; three great-grandsons, Rivers, Cash, and Baylen Thompson of Lexington, SC; one sister, Allene Prince and her husband Bobby of Spartanburg, SC; and two brothers, Tom Vandiver and his wife Donna of Greenville, SC, and Joe Vandiver and his wife Kat of Arizona. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Dena Seay; and three sisters, Carolyn Cobb, Dot Hopper, and Betty Workman. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, by the Rev. Daniel Blackwell and the Rev. Ray Mullinax. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4081 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
