Thelma Ruth Burnette McCravy, 94, of 173 Gowans Road, formerly of Southern Street, Beaumont, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at her home. Born November 24, 1914, in Post, TX, she was the daughter of the late Bynum and Hessie Brewer Burnette and the wife of the late Mark Dawsey McCravy. She was retired from Beaumont Mills. She was a member of the Mary Montgomery Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the oldest living member of Beaumont United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. Survivors include a son, Eugene McCravey of Spartanburg; a daughter, Rita Lynn Mullins and her husband Mervin of Spartanburg; a sister, Grace Kennington of Rock Hill; a daughter-in-law, Shirley McCravy; a son-in-law, Franklin Sherbert; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a son, Bynum McCravy; a daughter, Sharon Sherbert; and two grandsons, Mark Lee Mullins and Timmy Sherbert. Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2009, at Beaumont United Methodist Church. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. F.
