Ruth Lovelace

Ruth Ferguson Lovelace, 94, of Greer, SC, died Sunday, March 4, 2018, at The Cottages at Brushy Creek-Greer, SC. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was born November 20, 1923, in Lancaster, SC, the daughter of the late Martin Luther Ferguson and Roxie Ann Lister Ferguson and widow of Hollis Elias Lovelace. A graduate of Cecil's Business College, Mrs. Lovelace was a member of Washington Baptist Church in Greer. Survivors include her daughters, Anne Sudduth (Lamar) of Lyman, SC and Nancy Baker (Frank) of Piedmont, SC; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Flynn; and a great-grandson, Christopher Fleming. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Drew Hines and The Rev. Joe Price. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
