Ruth Gore Jolly, 76, of 3056 Benjamin Road, Spartanburg, died Friday, November 18, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born February 15, 1935, in Gaffney, SC, she was a daughter of the late John Monroe and Julia Louise Skates Gore and widow of Jesse Johnny Jolly. She was a member of Converse Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Johnny Jolly and wife Charlotte, and Ricky Jolly and wife Judy, all of Spartanburg; a daughter, Debbie Finch, of Converse; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Guy of Gastonia, NC and JoAnn Tomlin of Shelby, NC; three brothers, Robert, David, and Beauford Gore, all of Spartanburg; and a lifetime sister-in-law, Pondreba Jolly of Spartanburg. Mrs. Jolly was predeceased by a daughter, Teresa Jolly; two brothers, Harold Dean Gore and Ed Gore; and two sisters, Joyce Painter and Ola Mae Jones. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, November 20, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 21, 2011, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Cash and the Rev. Michael Stepp. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home. The family would like to thank the staff of the Hospice Home for their care.
