Russell Dowling

Russell Gene Dowling, 51, of #6 Ash Street, Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, October 1, 2011, at his home. Born June 6, 1960, in Green Cove Springs, FL, he was the son of the late Thomas Alvin and Margaret Estelle O'Berry Dowling. He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Arnason Dowling; brother, Evan O. (Gail) Dowling of Boiling Springs; sisters, Bonnie Carney and Opal Dowling, both of Fairforest, Rhoda France of the home, Carol King (Terry) of St. Augustine, FL, and Ouida Biggs (David) of Boiling Springs; his loving step-children, Brenda Ridlehoover and husband Mark of Spartanburg, and Darrell Kraynak and wife Lisa of Cleveland, OH; step-grandchildren, Matthew, Joey, and Jacob (his little buddy) Ridlehoover, and Justin and Miranda Kraynak; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas David Dowling. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Terry King and the Rev. David Biggs. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Animal Allies, 1097 Asheville Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home.
