Russell Bishop

Russell Eugene Bishop, 69, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born November 5, 1942, in Glendale, SC, he was the son of the late Boyce Lee and Helen Mae Warren Bishop. Mr. Bishop was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was retired from Hoechst Celanese and a member of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Sandra Davis Bishop; son, Russell Keith Bishop and wife Karen; daughter, Shannan Bishop Manly and husband John; grandchildren, Stephanie and Tyler Bishop, Samantha and Jeffery James, and Rachael Manly. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Dr. D. J. Horton. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
