Rudy Shawn Lee, 44, of Inman, died Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born July 12, 1966, in Spartanburg, he was the son of Larry M. and Judy Ward Lee both of Inman. Shawn was a member of First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg. He was a finance manager for twenty years and the owner/operator of Property Care Lawn Service Company. Along with his love for his son, he loved spending time with his family, camping, and fishing. His greatest success in life was his surviving son, Griffin Gibbs Lee, to whom he was totally devoted; other survivors include his parents; a sister, Dawn Lee Allen and her husband David of Greer; a brother, Noel Burke Lee and his wife Laura of Woodruff; two nephews, Hunter Burke Lee and William Thomas Allen; two nieces, Anna Lucille "Luci" Allen and Laura Robbins Allen; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Lt. Haman L. and Lucille K. Lee, and maternal grandparents, James Robert and Elsie C. Ward. Visitation will be 12:00-1:30 PM Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Ken Mayfield. Pallbearers are Greg Evans, Hunter Burke Lee, Christopher Wheeler, Mark Wilkins, Jay Wilkins, Jeffrey Wilkins, and James R. Gibbs, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Griffin Gibbs Lee Education Fund, c/o Paul D. Ward, 275 S. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306.
