Rudolph Sturgeon Jr.

Rudolph Larue “Larry” Sturgeon, Jr., 87, died Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born July 4, 1933 in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Rudolph Larue Sturgeon and Jessie Louise Hoover Sturgeon.

A U. S. Air Force Veteran, Mr. Sturgeon was a retired truck driver, having worked with McLean Trucking Company and Star Paper Tube.

Survivors include his daughters, Sherry Marsh-Fowler (John) of Elgin, SC, and Karen Ann Sturgeon of Long Beach, CA, and grandson, Jason Marsh (Tessa) of Elgin, SC. He was predeceased by his son, Rudolph “Rudy” Larue Sturgeon III, and grandchildren, Michael Mattox and Shannon Alma Marsh.
