Rudolph Cooper

Rudolph G. Cooper, 86, formerly of 128 Cromer Street, Roebuck, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 22, 2013, at Magnolia Manor-Inman. Born December 24, 1926, in Nash County, NC, he was the son of the late Bennie Astor and Lottie Cooper, and beloved husband of the late Dorothy Mae Cooper. Mr. Cooper was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg and a charter member of the Silent Sunday School Class. He was formerly employed by Clement Lumber Company. Survivors include a daughter, Debby Henderson and husband Michael of Spartanburg; and two grandsons, Michael Chad Henderson of Columbia and Marty Brooks Henderson of Spartanburg. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Sunday, November 24, 2013, in the parlor of Davis Chapel at First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Sal Barone and the Rev. Robert C. Morgan. Burial will be in Westwood Memorial Gardens. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 260 Fairwinds Road, Landrum, SC 29356. The family is at the home of his daughter, Debby Henderson, 110 Bayberry Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
