Ruby West

Ruby Myers West, 87, of Spartanburg, died Friday, April 12, 2013, at Emeritus at Skylyn Place. Born November 13, 1925, in Augusta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Marie Creech Myers. Mrs. West formerly worked for Commercial Credit and Belk Department Stores. She was a member of Park Street Baptist Church in Columbia. Survivors include her loving husband of years, Charles Faber West Jr. of the home; children, Emma Marie Talbert (Edgar) of Anderson, SC, Lois West Harley (Tim) of Spartanburg, SC, Teresa West of Hampton, SC, and Charles Faber West III (Beth) of Valdosta, GA; grandchildren, Nelson hall III of Spartanburg, SC, C. J. West, Chad West, and Joey West, all of Valdosta, GA; great-grandson, Carter West of Valdosta, GA; sister-in-law, Barbara Myers of NC; nephews, Allen Wilson and Shel Myers; and nieces, Sally W. Hiers and Libby W. Huskey. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph E. Myers; and a niece, Jenny Myers. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Monday, April 15, 2013, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Rick Clark. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
