Ruby Timmons

Ruby Moore Timmons, 88, of Spartanburg died Friday, August 19, 2022, at her home. Born February 11, 1934, to the late Zeb and Sarah Moore, she was the wife of the late J. C. Timmons, Sr.

Ruby was the co-founder of Timmons Concessions and member of Una First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Ann T. Sawyer (James Sr.), Sue T. Hill, Wayne Timmons (Joy), and Gene Timmons (Darlene); daughter-in-law, Bobbie Timmons; siblings, George Moore and Kathleen Dimsdale; special nephews, Ray Moore, Jr. and Robbie Moore; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and fur baby, Smokey Joe. Ruby was predeceased by sons, David Timmons and James Timmons, Jr., and son-in-law, Jerry W. Hill, Sr.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, in Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
