Ruby Hammett

Ruby Parris Hammett, 94, of Cowpens, died Friday, December 4, 2009, at The Laurels of Hendersonville. Born June 30, 1915, in Chesnee, SC, she was the daughter of the late James D. and Carrie Mosley Parris and the wife of the late John Earl Hammett. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church of Cowpens where she served on numerous committees. She was a former member of Town and Country Garden Club. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Caroline Hammett of Hendersonville, NC, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2009, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Roye Lynn Kulik. Memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, P.
