Ruby Hardin Bishop, 86, died Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Emeritus at Skylyn Place. Born September 18, 1926, in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Furman Hilton and Leona Cash Hardin and widow of William (Bill) W. Bishop. She was retired from the recordkeeping department at Spartanburg County Courthouse, a volunteer at Mary Black Memorial Hospital, a former longtime choir member at First Baptist Church Spartanburg, and a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Mrs. Bishop was very dedicated to her family and loved her Lord. Survivors include sons, Samuel H. Bishop (Happy Outz Bishop) and W. Keith Bishop, all of Spartanburg; grandson, Scott Bishop of Spartanburg; granddaughters, Angela Woodard (Steve) of Spartanburg, Kim Powell (Tim), and Kristen Greene (Josh), all of Boiling Springs; great-grandsons, Will and Jake Woodard of Spartanburg; great-granddaughters, Shelby Bishop of Spartanburg and Brady Greene of Boiling Springs. She was predeceased by a number of brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Kirk H. Neely.
