Ruby Baldwin

Ruby "Ma" Baldwin, 86, of Cowpens, died Monday, June 11, 2012, at her home. Born in Glendale, SC, she was the widow of the Rev. Troy F. Baldwin, and daughter of the late Dexter Morgan and May Easler Vernon. Mrs. Baldwin was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a former textile employee and cafeteria worker for Cowpens High School. Survivors include her children, James E. "Big Joe" Baldwin, Elaine Poole and husband Jimmy, all of Cowpens; grandchildren, Tammy Jameson and husband Vernon of Cowpens, Patricia Dill and husband Lee of Boiling Springs, Ricky Gore of Glendale, Thomas Gore of Spartanburg, and Shawn Moore of Cowpens; five great-grandchildren; and her sister, Donest "Granny" Lanford of Cowpens. She was predeceased by a daughter, Peggy Smith. Friends will be received 6:00-9:00 PM Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the home of "Ma" Baldwin, Joe and Shawn "Hooty", at 1232 Old Pacolet Road, Spartanburg (Cowpens), SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, June 15, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church in Cowpens, by the Rev. Henry Coley and the Rev. Kenneth Cash.
