Roy Dunagin

Roy Keith Dunagin, 70, of Spartanburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 12, 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home after a long battle with cancer. Born March 27, 1945, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late LeRoy Dunagin and Alberta McKinney Dunagin Garrett. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Dunagin was the owner/operator of Dunagin Concrete Construction Inc. for over 40 years. He was a life member of Clifton Masonic Lodge #215 and Scottish rite 32nd degree. He was the past president of the Spartanburg Shrine Club and a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Union, SC. Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Gail Quinn Dunagin; sons, Terry Dunagin (Allyson) and Bryan Dunagin, all of Spartanburg; his granddaughter who was raised in the home, Brittany Carter (Shane) of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Kaelyn Dunagin, Seth Dunagin, and Thomas Dunagin; great-grandson, Brycen Carter; brothers, Harold Dunagin of Greenwood and Earl Dunagin of Cowpens; and extended family and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Terry Wayne Dunagin. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Scott Cobb, the Rev. William "Bill" Burruss, and the Rev. Mac Kinnett. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
