In loving memory of Roxanne R. Cloran, a beloved School Cafeteria Manager, Wife, Mother, Sister, and Friend, who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Roxanne, known to many as "The Boss lady" and the unofficial Mayor of Converse, embraced life with a spirit that was both outgoing and free. Her strong perseverance and tough demeanor were a testament to her resilience in the face of life's challenges.
Roxanne found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, whom she cherished as her pride and joy. Her love for them knew no bounds, and their laughter brought sunshine into her life every day. As the Founder of The River Rats Kayak Club, she shared her passion for adventure with those around her, leaving behind a legacy of camaraderie and fun. Her love for the outdoors was spread to her children with camping and fishing. She was always smiling, everyone came to her for advice, help, and encouragement. She was a very giving person and made the best out of every moment. She never took life for granted.
One of Roxanne's proudest accomplishments was marrying her best friend of almost 50 years, John T. Cloran. Together, they built a lifetime of love and shared memories that will forever be treasured. In addition to John, Roxanne is survived by her sons Jerimy (Shannon) Cloran, Shawn (Jessica) Cloran, daughter Sarah (Sam) Cloran-Brown, adopted daughter Heather Hartley, grandchildren Cooper and Avery Brown, as well as her grandpuppies Thor and Maggie.
Roxanne is preceded in death by her father Howard Brew, mother Marcella "Sallie" Valentine, step-father Frank Valentine, and sister Andrea Arnold. Also her niece Nicole Wyndham. She leaves behind a family who adored her: sisters Sandra (Don) Miller, Bonnie (Anthony) Caramba, Danette (Steve) Mountcastle, and Raenelle (Tony) Joyner.
To know Roxanne was to be touched by her warmth and kindness. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with this remarkable woman. May her memory live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
