Rosalie Price Carlisle Cunningham, 100, formerly of Spartanburg, died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at NHC Greenville, SC. Born May 25, 1912, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles Ernest and Ann Rose Price Carlisle and was reared by her aunt and uncle, Dr. and Mrs. J. E. Edwards. She was the wife of the late Frank Harrison Cunningham, Jr. Mrs. Cunningham was a graduate of Converse College and a longtime member of The Episcopal Church of the Advent. She was a past president of The Assembly, a member of The Book Club, the Woman's Music Club, the Spartanburg Garden Club, the Thursday Study Club, and the Junior League of Spartanburg. Survivors include a daughter, Ann C. Thruston and her husband M. Gordon Thruston, Jr. of Greenville; a son, Reed L. Cunningham and his wife Jeannie S. Cunningham of Spartanburg; two grandchildren, Frank Harrison Cunningham, IV and Charles Carlisle Cunningham, both of Spartanburg; two step-grandchildren, Kathryn T. Chapman and her husband William R. (Randy) Chapman, Jr. of Greenville, and Richard G. Thruston of Charlottesville, VA; three step-great-grandchildren, William Bradley Chapman of Charlotte, NC, Harrison Randolph Chapman of Charleston, SC, and Jeremy Gordon Thruston of Fredericksburg, VA; and other nieces and nephews. The service of committal will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 7, 2013, in the Christ Church Episcopal Churchyard, Greenville, SC. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, March 7, 2013, at The Episcopal Church of the Advent, Spartanburg, SC, conducted by the Rev. J. Edward Morris. Visitation will follow in the Parish and Community Life Center at the church.
