Rosemary Harris, of Woodruff, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born August 28, 1941 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Tony and Nora Mae Pangle Hammett and the wife of the late John Shelton Harris. She was a retired self-employed hair designer and a member of Park Hills First Church of God. She was very devoted to her family, church family, and many friends. Survivors include a son, Dwane Harris and wife Michelle of Lyman; a daughter, Chris Harris and husband Chuck Hart of Spartanburg; a granddaughter, Kara Elizabeth-Rose Harris of Spartanburg; two grandsons, Seth and T. J. Messer both of Lyman; a sister, Jo Ann Estes and husband David of Moore; and a dear family friend, Andi Painter. She was predeceased by a son, Jared Ashley Harris, and a brother, Michael Hammett. Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 10:30 A.M. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Tony Didway, the Rev. Anglea Didway, and the Rev. Chuck Hart. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Dwane and Michelle Harris, 18 Cresent Street, Lyman, SC 29365.
