Ronnie Williams

Ronnie Joe Williams, 66, of Spartanburg, died Friday, May 27, 2011, at Mary Black Hospital. Born January 23, 1945, in Loudon, TN, he was the son of the late Odis Edward and Margaret Pauline Pressley Williams and widower of Wendy Diane Rogers Williams. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway after 28 years of service, was a former Spartanburg Water Works Commissioner, and was a member of the Amateur Radio Club, the Military History Club of the Carolinas, and the Peach Blossom Breakfast Club. Survivors include a daughter, Crystal Jones and husband Brian; a granddaughter, Shannon Jones, all of Boiling Springs, SC; and his girlfriend, Joan Pope. Visitation will be 1:00-2:45 PM Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Kevin Rodgers. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
