We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Ronda Phillips Dickson on November 23, 2022 at her home in Spartanburg, SC. She was 70. She is the daughter of the late William (Bill) Jones Phillips and Hazel Celestine Brady Phillips from Woodruff, SC.
She was a devoted mother, “Nanna”, daughter, sister, and friend who could light up a room with her smile and positive spirit. She retired in 2021 from AFL Global in Duncan, SC. She enjoyed time spent with family, Atlanta Braves baseball, and celebrating the holidays.
Ronda is survived by her son, David Alan Dickson, his wife, Laura, and two granddaughters, Marley Makena Dickson and Chloe Annette Dickson. She is also survived by her brother, Mark Phillips and his wife Cheryl Phillips of Woodruff, SC and a sister, Rose and her husband Terry Lanford of Woodruff, SC. Nephews and nieces include Joshua and Desi Phillips, Jarod and Michelle Phillips, and Sheena and Marcus Poteat.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2022, at The Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 210 Melrose Ave, Tryon, NC 28782, conducted by The Rev. Meghan D. Young.
