Ronald "Ron" E. Webber, 74, of Union, SC, died Sunday, May 14, 2017, at his home. Born February 15, 1943, in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late John William and Iris Henderson Webber. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, Ron was an outdoor enthusiast who loved to hunt, ride motorcycles, and was a member of the NRA. He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Union Branch. He received his BA Degree in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics from Limestone College and retired from Pillowtex Inc. in North Carolina after many years as a manager and chemist in the textile industry. Survivors include his wife, Brenda B. Webber; children, Kim Foster (John) of Union, SC, Karen Henderson (Blaine) of Gaffney, SC, Susan Burgess (Richard) of Black Mountain, NC, and Shay Carlin (Rob) of Boiling Springs, SC; eight grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and sister, Carol Courtney of Cowpens, SC. Visitation will be 10:00-11:20 AM Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 noon, in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery St., Cowpens, SC 29330, conducted by Branch President Jonathan Parris.
