Ronald Green

Ronald Green, of Spartanburg, passed away on the morning of his 89th birthday, November 29, 2024, at Lake Emory Post Acute Care in Inman, SC. Ron was born in Hartlepool, England, a son of the late Edward and Sarah Vale Green. 

Ron was an accomplished engineer, designing gears for the automobile industry for many years. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church. 

Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Roberta Green; his children, Gary Green of Newark, OH, Glenn Green (Lori) of Kalamazoo, MI, Tracey Powell (Keith) of Marble Falls, TX, David Finn (Lisa) of Kalamazoo, MI, and Alec Finn (Meredith) of Cincinnati, OH; and his ten grandchildren. 

A service to remember and honor Ron’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024, at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 101 St. Matthew’s Lane, Spartanburg, SC 29301, conducted by the Rev. Robert L. Brown.
