Ronald Asselin

Ronald Lee Asselin, 74, of Inman, SC died Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Regency Hospital of Greenville. Born October 17, 1947, in Denver, Colorado, he was the son of the late Elgin Layton and Cecelia Mary Corl Asselin.

A US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. Asselin was formerly employed with Southern Railway (Norfolk-Southern Railway) and later with Concept Packaging. He earned his associates degree from Spartanburg Technical College. Ronald was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Usher. He was a former member of Fairforest Ruritan Club.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara Lawson Asselin, his daughters, Kim Bray (Oren) of Boiling Springs, SC and Tina A. Coffin (Jason) of Inman, SC, four grandchildren, Brandon Bray (Mandy) of Mayo, SC, Lance Bray of Spartanburg, SC, Kaleb Coffin of Inman, and Abby Coffin of Inman, SC. He was also predeceased by his twin brother, Robert Asselin.

Visitation will be at 2:00 – 2:45 pm Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Fairforest Baptist Church Sanctuary, 115 Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29301. Funeral service will be at 3:00 pm at the church, conducted by The Rev. Jeff Eubanks. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
