Roger D. Sprouse, known for his dedication as a Millwright, breathed his last on the 2nd of March, 2024, leaving behind a legacy cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Born on the 28th of May, 1957, Roger's journey through life was marked by a profound sense of humor and an unyielding stubbornness that endeared him to many.
His early years were shaped by his education at Spartanburg County Public Schools, laying the foundation for a successful career in Millwright. Roger's craftsmanship and work ethic were truly unmatched, making a lasting impact in his profession.
Outside of work, Roger found joy in simple pleasures. He delighted in watching Star Trek, and the music of Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley held a special place in his heart. These hobbies reflected his vibrant spirit and appreciation for the arts.
Roger will be dearly missed by his surviving family and friends. He is survived by his loving son Jeremy (Cheryl) Sprouse, his dear brother Clifford Sprouse, his beloved sister Elaine Cheek Daniels, as well as his cherished grandchildren Starla Sprouse, Rayne Sprouse, Saphira Sprouse, and Kaeden Sprouse.
In the embrace of his passing are his late father Watson Herbert Sprouse and late mother Janie Sprouse whose memories will forever live on alongside Roger's enduring legacy.
A visitation in memory of Roger D. Sprouse will be held on the 7th of March, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel in Spartanburg, SC. As we come together to honor his life, let us celebrate the laughter he brought into our lives and the indelible mark he left on our hearts.
