Roger Jones

U. S. Navy veteran, Roger Allen Jones, 61, of Woodruff, SC, died Thursday, November 8, 2018, at his home. Born February 9, 1957, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late John Harmon Jones and Mae Belle Poteat Jones. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Lynn S. Jones; children, Lori Blanchard of Georgia, Kaitlyne Richards and Cassady Richards of the home, Jamie Jones of Woodruff, SC, and Jason Jones of the home; granddaughters, Tatum, Kayleigh, Keira, and Riley Jones; grandson, Ashton Jones; sister, Sandra Brown (Harold) of Boiling Springs, SC; brothers, David R. Jones (Karen) of Spartanburg, SC and James Jones (Debra) of Boiling Springs, SC; hospice nurse, Emma Lawing; and Kimberly Sisk, Heather Bailey, Tracey Richards, Blanche Craven, and Karyn Craven. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, John Stanley Jones. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Monday, November 12, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307 with funeral services following at 2:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. Rodney Lawter. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
