Roger Bagwell

Roger Dale Bagwell, age 51, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014, at his residence. He was the husband of Wanda King Bagwell. Roger was born in Spartanburg, SC on April 30, 1963, a son of Jewell Griffin Bagwell and Vessie Monroe Bagwell. He was of the Baptist faith. Roger was employed by AFL for 19 years. He loved his family and will be missed by all of them, especially his grandson Parker, who was his Papa's pride and joy. In addition to his wife, Wanda of 31 years, Roger is survived by two sons, Bradley Bruce Bagwell and Matthew Monroe Bagwell; grandson, Cayden Parker Bagwell; mother, Jewell Bagwell; brother, Ronnie Bagwell and his wife, Peggy; sister, Lynda Bagwell Loving and her husband, Pat; brother-in-law, James King; sister-in-law, Karen Gosnell, and a number of nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Vessie Bagwell. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 PM, on Sunday, November 23, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with services following at 2:00 PM in the Chapel conducted by Rev. Shawn Hackett. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Tribute Program, PO Box 100, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
