Rody Arthur

Rody Donald Arthur, 90, of 400 Webber Road, Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, January 14, 2011 at White Oak Estates.. Born October 29, 1920 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Luther Alverson and Minnie Reynolds Donald and wife of the late Paul E. Arthur. She worked in child care for many years; was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church where she was a member of numerous church organizations and was a Sunday School teacher; and was a avid bowler. Survivors are a son, Wayne Arthur and wife Brenda of Spartanburg; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Randall Arthur, four sisters, and one brother. Mrs. Arthur was the last member of the Luther Donald family. Visitation will be 2:00-3:15 P.M. Monday, January 17, 2011, at Crossroads Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 P.M. in the Church, conducted by the Rev. David Swofford. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
