Robert H. Westbrook, 72, of 167 Sequoyah Drive, died Friday, October 15, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born October 28, 1937, in Chesnee, he was a son of the late Robert Elburn and Virginia Moore Westbrook. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Turning Point Free Will Baptist Church. He was a CB operator and loved to fish and build all things. Surviving are his wife of fifty-five years, Shirley Penland Westbrook; three daughters, Debra Koon and husband Franklin of Chesnee, Tina Cooper and husband Greg of Mill Springs, NC, and Holly Carland and husband Tony of Spartanburg; six granddaughters; one great grandson; a brother, Ronnie Westbrook of Spartanburg; and a sister, Edith Holder of Chesnee. Visitation will be 12:00-1:45 PM Monday, October 18, 2010, at Turning Point Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Church, conducted by the Rev. Todd Black. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Robert H. Westbrook Memorial Fund, P.O. Drawer 1530, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
